Ellettsville First Baptist Church
A Growing Community of Faith Where Christ is Exalted

Creation Museum

On Saturday, March 21st, 22 people from the church traveled to the Creation Museum in Kentucky. They met at the church at 7 am and road in 2 rented 15 passenger vans driven by Janine Leaneagh and Bill Chinn. (Pastor Mark said Bill’s van was full of type-A personalities and the other was type-B. Pastor said he was actually a type-C minus…) All those who went had a wonderful time strolling through the museum and learning how the biblical story of creation can be proven - even though evolutionists choose to try to explain it very differently. We had a ball feeding the animals in the petting zoo (have you ever seen a Zonkey or a Zorse?), and the gardens were beautiful even though the flowers were not yet in full bloom.

On our way home, we had to go by Starbucks (of course), then we stopped at “Hoggies” for dinner. What an great place to eat!

It was a long day, but it was definitely worth it! Hopefully we’ll be able to take another group sometime soon. And other possible field trips have been discussed and are in the early planning stages.
