The 150th Anniversary of our church will be celebrated on Oct. 5th. We will have a pitch-in dinner at 4:30 downstairs in Fellowship Hall, followed by a musical celebration in the Sanctuary. Music will be provided by Randy Perry and Reaching Higher.

On Monday, August 4th, the ladies of the ABW and their guests traveled to the Golden Corral for their annual dinner outing and Purse Auction. Twenty-nine ladies were in attendance.

Four door prizes were given away to Deb Hanloh, Janine Leaneagh, Barb Drake, and Jan Ford. Janine Leaneagh acted as auctioneer for the evening. After the bids were collected and totaled, $288.50 was raised for our mission funds.

A wonderful evening of fun and fellowship was enjoyed by all attending.

Church Picnic

The Annual Church Picnic will be at the big shelter house at Flatwoods Park on Sunday, September 21st at 3:30 pm. The church will provide drinks, hot dogs and hamburgers, and possibly chicken. Please bring a side dish and/or dessert to share, your whole family and a friend or two for this wonderful annual event. We always have lots of good food, fun and fellowship.

Women’s Bible Study Group

The women’s Bible Study Group led by Phyllis Kreis will resume their Friday morning meetings on Friday, September 5th. They will meet every Friday at 9:30 am, downstairs in Fellowship Hall. All ladies are welcome. If you have any questions, please speak to Phyllis

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that the ladies of the ABW collect product labels and send them to the Edna Martin Center (a Baptist Mission Center) in Indianapolis. The labels are redeemed once a year for some of the following items: educational supplies such as books, art supplies, tape players, playground toys, etc. Labels can be left on the table beside the water fountain in the education wing. Your help in collecting these labels is greatly appreciated.
