Our Beliefs:

1. We believe in one eternal and true God, an intelligent Spirit, known in the Holy Scriptures by the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, equal in wisdom, power, and glory.

2. We believe that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are of Divine authority and are the only inspired and infallible rule of faith and practice.

3. We believe that man was created in holiness but by voluntary transgression fell from that state, in consequence of which all mankind are now sinners and, therefore, under just condemnation to eternal ruin.

4. We believe in the total inability of man to save himself from under the condemnation of God’s Holy Law, and that recovery from that condition is wholly of the sovereign, free and unmerited grace of God in Jesus Christ.

5. We believe that repentance and faith are sacred duties wrought in our souls by the regenerating Spirit of God, whereby being deeply convinced of our guilt and of the way of salvation by Christ, we turn to God with unfeigned contrition, confession and supplication for mercy, and at the same time heartily receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our only atonement for sin.

6. We believe that the gospel is addressed to the whole world and that the elect of God are made known to us only by giving decided evidence of saving faith in Christ.

7. We believe that sinners are justified by faith before God by an application of the merits of Christ’s blood and His righteousness alone.

8. We believe that those who are born of the Spirit of God are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation.

9. We believe that all true believers will bring forth good fruit which always shows itself in those who are born of the Spirit of God and is the only evidence of a gracious state.

10. We believe that sanctification is the process b y which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of His holiness; that it is a progressive work; that it is begun in regeneration; that it is carried on in the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, in continual study of the Word of God, self-examination, self-denial, watchfulness, and prayer.

11. We believe that a Church of Christ is a congregation of baptized believers voluntarily associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel observing the ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, and exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His word; that its scriptural officers are pastor and deacons, whose qualifications and duties are defined in the epistles to Timothy and Titus.

12. We believe that baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the only ordinances of the gospel of Jesus Christ, that none but those who give evidence of faith in Christ and supreme love for Him are fit subjects for either; that baptism is the immersion in water of a believer to show forth in emblem our faith in the crucified, buried and risen Savior, with their effect in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life; that baptism is a prerequisite to Church membership and to the Lord’s Supper, in which the members of the Church by sacred use of the bread and wine are to commemorate together the dying love of Christ; preceded always by solemn self-examination.

13. We believe that the first day of the week or Lord’s day ought to be observed and spent in public and private worship and that we should abstain from all worldly concerns except in cases of mercy or necessity.

14. We believe that civil government is of divine appointment, for the interests and good order of human society; and that magistrates are to be prayed for, conscientiously honored and obeyed; except only in things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Lord of conscience, and the Prince of the Kings of the earth.

15. We believe that Jesus Christ will return to earth and gather unto Himself the righteous and cast the wicked into eternal punishment.
